The well-known ‘Carrot Stretches’ are more properly known as Dynamic Mobilisation Exercises, and do not involve a ‘stretch’.

They are the best way we have to protect, improve and restore the strength of our horses’ backs.

Easy 123 Exercise Planners

These templates will help you use the Easy 123 strategy to boost the effectiveness of your horse’s exercise routine.

There are two Examples superimposed to give you ideas for how it might work.

You can view and print the Blank Template to set it up in the way that is best for you.

First, block out your two REST days.

Next, fill the remaining ‘Exercise Category’ boxes with L (loosening), S (strengthening), P (proprioception and programming). The easiest way is to just cycle through L,S,P, repeating as needed. This will give you three opportunities to train each category - and an added extra for just one of them. Of course, if you need to, you can move the categories around to make it work even better for you.
