Proprioceptive Exercise 3
Develop an awareness of when your upper body is upright - neither to left or right.
Proprioceptive Exercise 3 follows on from Proprioceptive Exercise 2, but now we include the upper body. This exercise helps you develop an awareness of when both of your hips and your shoulders are level. This will help ensure your spine is straight and your pelvis is correctly balanced right/left.
Just as with the other Proprioceptive Exercises, this is about developing feel; knowing when your body is correctly balanced. If you ride, you can carry this benefit of enhanced feel directly across to the saddle without needing to do any movements in the saddle. If you don’t ride, it is great for standing and seated posture.
